How is the reliability on a 2000 M Coupe? Is there anything I should know?

I am selling my S4 because I have had too many problems. I want an M Coupe, but if they are as unreliable as the S4 I will just get a 350Z. Any owner input would be helpful, including how easy the car is to live with, etc...
