2.5L Z3 tried messing with me...

I was coming back from the movies with 2 friends in my car when a Z3 decided it wanted to mess around... we went at it from a roll at 40mph and ran up to about 80mph. I'm not sure if he missed a shift or started in too high of a gear but I pulled about a 3/4 a car length on him.

I slowed back down and we went at it again. I guess he started from a lower gear this time because he edged up about a quarter car length on me up to 80mph and then I slowly pulled even with him from 80mph to 100mph when I let off.

Too bad for him I was in my Accord. Hehehe

I can't talk though, if I had been driving the 330Ci I probably would have gotten smoked.

you don't have ur S/C installed in the accord yet do u??...I would think the Accord is not faster then the 330ci, even those u have quite a few things done to the accord, correct me if I am wrong....

and plus, the accord has a slushbox right??

Uhh.. guys guys guys ..

the new accords have 240hp and a 6speed tranny

the 330ci has 225hp and a 5speed tranny

the weights are probably comparable, although the accord coupe fully decked out would probably be no more than $27,000 where as a 330ci with options might come close to $40,000.

However, if given the choice between the two I'd take the 330ci because the accord looks like complete ass compared to it, and the 330ci handles better, not to mention has better interior .. and blah blah blah .. you get the picture.

But yea guys watchout for those new accords when your driving around IN YOUR E36 M3, they might give you a run

Does anyone know the specs on the new accord as far as 1/4 mile goes? It has 212lbs of torque and 240hp. Just curious...

i think the originator of this post was being sarcastic about the smoked part. The new accords are dreadfully slow, 7 someting 0-60, 15 something qm i think.

My 330Ci is faster than the V6 Accord, but I am currently unable to drive the 330Ci in such a manner that it would beat the Accord from a dead stop. (Translated: I have much to learn about launching a manual)

My 2000 Accord with its current mods is a low 15 second car. (S/C is not installed yet)

I'm assuming a 2.5L Z3 _should_ have put a good hurting on my V6 Accord, especially with 2 friends riding in the car (One who weighs about 250lbs and the other who weighs about 175lbs). I'm assuming the guy I raced in the Z3 either started in too high of a gear, or missed a gear when we raced.
