Why no more M Coupe?

It would be really nice to see a M Coupe with SMG, I was hoping we'd get it one day and now I find out they discontinued it.

I agree, SMG on the M coupe would be interesting but
Just think......

The discontinuance of that car will make it all the more rare down the road. I'd like to get one in about two years. Hopefully the price won't start creeping up.

Who gives a s**t about the masses.

It's one of the best performing M cars available.

Wasn't it BMW's most rigid chassis?

I have to admit, I didn't like the looks of it at first, but it really grew on me. I just wish the masses had as good taste as the people on this forum do.

Great handling car!

I fear that if BMW went and made a Z4 Coupe it would be rather Fugly...

I agree with you....most people didnt like the way they looked. I love them, I'm thinking of buying one myself.

Well, the masses decide if a car sells or not.....so as a car company, i think BMW does give a s**t

I have a few questions about these cars.

1. Is it safe? I mean, look at rx-7s, miatas, and MR2s, theyre small and not exactly too safe. I'm not comparing BMW safety to Japanese safety, but small cars aren't exactly the safest things. So should i feel confident driving it?

2. Now that theyre discontinuing it, i'm guessing that the prices will stay close to value for the next couple of years...is it worth it paying almost MSRP?

3. I'm 6ft 3in and I don't know if I could really feel comfortable in it. If I go to the dealer and sit in it or test drive it, i still won't get a good feeling about everday driving, so are there any of you tall fellows out there that have an M coupe and what are you thoughts on daily driving?

Thanks for the help guys!!!

Tom

If I ever get rid of the ti in the near future the M coupe is up next and ESP I hope they do make a Z4 coupe but I also hope your fears are unfounded alot of people thought that abot the Z3 and they got snapped up.

I personally thought the M Coupe was a fantastic looking car... I just picture some really weird (weirder than the topless ones) angles on a Coupe version of a Z4. Hell I would definately consider buying one based upon performance alone, but if the thing came out with a rear window raked backlike the front or something I would prob. have a heart attack.

We'll see what they do as it stands now there are no plans for one but we can hope. I hope they do the right thing.

I loved the M Coupe, one of the best performing BMWs. I hope to own one some day, alongside my future M3. Two Estoril M Cars, sitting happily next eachother.
