| im buying a 2002 m coupe soon need advice i will be buying an m coupe with in the next week and i am wondering if there is anything i should look for, the examples i have found have 900miles, 1300miles and 2100miles on them. they are all around the same price so i will probally go for the 900mile example. im wondering a few things about the car....first of all is there alot of aftermarket parts for the car? i know the engine is the same as the e46m3 (lower rev limit i understand) but is there alot of suspension parts for the m coupe, im looking to have a car that is very balanced and corners like a dream, the m coupe in stock form is very nice, but i want more of a race car than anything. im thinking a full coil over set up, unless you think i would be more happy with just agreessive springs, dampers and sway bars. any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.      |

| Don't worry, there's a few different suspension set ups available, hopefully one will meet your needs. Figure on spending up to $2,000 for a nice coilover set up. I don't think there are quite as many engine mods available, compared to a S52 engine, but hopefully it's quick enough for you as is.

| i think the 2002 m coupe is stupid fast stock...but im always after a little more hp and im sure there is a few things i can do to make the m coupe faster and more fun. for now im going to keep the suspension stock so i can learn its limits. this is the first car i have ever owned that can really bite you if you make a mistake, so i will wait till i have a month or so of driving it, and maybe 2 track days so i can find its limit. i dont want to end up with my beautiful m coupe wrapped around a tree. |

| i test drove the new M roadster with 315 hp.. man that car is crazy....burn tires on the 1st and 2nd gear... really strong on torque.... one thing u have to becareful... don't shift too fast if you r not familiar with that car... eric |

| what do you mean i have to shift slow untill im familar with it. this is the first car near this performance, so im wondering what this means, the only stick cars i have driven are 993 carrera audi s4 and my old 540. i know this isnt the kind of car that forgives mistakes, but what do you mean, like missing shifts?? ur scaring me. |
