Finished the M Roadster rear suspension swap today
Well, after clearing that nasty hurdle of the seized crossmember, I made great strides today. I got my powercoated e30 6cyl crossmember, with IE urethane bushings, installed. Before I put it in, I replaced the factory rubber brake lines above it with braided stainless. Then the 3.73 LSD with M Coupe diff cover. The IE sway went in easily, though I was off about 1/16" on the holes I drilled through the trunk floor. The trailing arms went on fine except for the fact that they are heavy as fudzuck. I ended up propping them up in the open end of a milk crate to support their weight while I wiggled the bolts through. GC shock mounts on the bilsteins went in like pie. GC 650# springs finished the job. I'll post some pics when I get some film.
I just need to pull my radial designs off my e34 to see how it will sit with some meats on it.
It really is all direct bolt in.
