| Finally got d@mn rear crossmember out, can proceed with rear M Roadster conversion Well after many frustrating hours out in the garage, I finally got my rear crossmember out. I have been hung up on this for a few weeks now. (Don't get many chances to work on the car.) Final recipe: Several holes drilled through the bushings, propane torch to burn the things out. Finally a 24" pipe wrench on the aluminum portion of the bushing to "unseize" the things. I hope this is the biggest B.S. thing I have to deal with on the conversion. I hate when things that should take 5 minutes turn into huge projects
I pulled the fuel tank so I could torch in confidence that I would not end up well done. Rear suspension should go in tomorrow and then out comes the engine (going to Matt for his 2002 turbo). The tranny and diff are still avail though
