| Get the 996. The car is just unbelivable. The sound of the engine is amazing. I could go on forever. Just go drive one.

| 993 911 Turbo............you will love it. I don't really like the design for the 996's, however, that car is beyond this world. I like the 993 Turbos better though. Also, if you get a 996 please please PLEASE don't get a tiptronic, I hate people who buys cars such as that and get tip.........MANUAL is the way to go! Good Luck man.

![]() My favourite porsche experience is when i was allowed to go on a short joyride in a 1994 3.6 Turbo S Flatnose. Only 36 imported to the US. 3000lbs, 400hp/420tq, rwd. The car is amazing! But with a steady value of $100k, it doesn't look like it'll be in my garage any time soon. I'm leaning towards an Artic Silver 1997 C2-S model. I don't need the 400hp, as the car will be driven quite a bit. 282hp routed through a 6 speed manual and rwd...mmmm

| As much as i like porsches... I found a 2k1 S54 M Coupe. Carbon Black w/ tan interior. 12k miles $29k HOW GOOD OF A DEAL IS THAT?!!?! The market is so friggin' cheap on these cars! 315hp in 2900lbs for $28k almost new...

I just love Porsche, it's the ultimate sports car. My cousin has a 993 Turbo and every damn time I get in that car, I get the chills. The smoothness and acceleration on that car is just incredible. The 996's are very fast, however, styling isn't my favorite. I'm 100% sure if you buy a 993, you WON'T be let down. I'm actually looking for a 92 Turbo myself, but they are hard to find in good condition and with low miles. Anywa, good luck. Let us know what you decide to get.

1994 3.6 turbo (perfect car, every option, rear seat delete...) Midnight blue w/ Cashmere 1987 930 Slantnose Turbo w/ 18'' RUF wheels. Guards Red/Black 1996 993 Carrera (White/Grey) I test drove a 996 when they first came out in 1999...i wasn't too impressed. Interior definately looked cheapened...like the boxster's. Today i'm going to look at a 1994 3.6t (i'll be disappointed) and a 1991 3.3t The boost is addicting ![]()

Yeah, the 3.6 liter 2k2 models are nice, but you definately pay a premium...They run almost $20k higher than the 3.4 models.

| IMO, get the 993. The 996 is too refine and some pieces of the interior looks cheap (plastic). Although, if you want to use it as a commute car then get the 996, it's more comfortable and more forgiven. As far as the 1999 996, the early production cars had some issues so check out the TSB. Also, if you drive it hard on the track, you better put on the 3rd radiator. As far as the 993, if you can splurge on 993 TT, then that's the car, if not get C4S or C2S. The C4S comes with the Big Red brake kit. The bottom line is, test drive both cars (993 & 996). |
