Wow, this video gets around. That's me in the vid beating up that Stang, by tomorrow I should have the vids from my passenger online. The kill looks even worse . Unfortunately that also means that the vids of me getting killed will be up as well (C5 and Turbo 5.0)

haha i clowned a 2002 mustang gt in front of my school with like 150 people watching ... he was talking shit that hed beat me so I had to stand up to the challange

you can hear my clutch slip from first to second, i only dropped it at 1700 because i didnt want to heat it up so bad that it wouldnt catch in the other gears ...

I wish I could have gotten the end I had people watching at the end said I was at least 5 lengths in front

the guy in the mustang was like lol

Mine does this too - if I launch the wrong way, I will slip all the way into third gear. Too bad, too, because it hurts the overall violence of the launch, but I've found that once the grab is lost, it's gone until the car cools off a bit.

And then I'm back to roasting it in second gear.

yah man, it sucks, I want to get a new clutch and PP, with a lightweight aluminum flywheel .. I was thinking SACHS -- would this make it possible to launch at a higher RPM and for the clutch not to slip in each gear ? like I can shift pretty quickly I think and I want to chirp , I just think the clutch is too old or something

I have had a BMW master mechanic tell me that this behavior is common to the stock M3 clutch, and that an upgraded clutch would indeed fix the problem. He also talked something about a restrictor, right near the slave cylindar on the clutch line, that is the cause of this behavior and whose removal does wonders for overall grab, but I have not yet had time to do any homework on it.
