Which M coupe? 99,00,01,02?

After sitting in a 2002 M coupe at the dealers, I'm pretty sure this will be my next ride.. But I'm looking to get it used. I know that 01 is the first year of the higher output engine, where there any other major changes done from 2000 to 2001?
I'm planning on using it as my main ride as well as autocrossing it..

stiffer suspension, grey dials, satin chrome wheel (same color as the M5 wheels), different differential (3.15), couple new exterior colors.

Go w/ the 02 if you can find it. But then again '00 are screaming bargains! & has the proven E36M3 engine.
