M Coupe vs 3.0L Coupe

I couldn't believe it! My first night with the car, and I got to race a nearly identical car!
I was coming back from NYC when I saw what looked like an M coupe. Upon closer examination, I notice it was a silver 3.0L coupe! I never see these things!!! What a bizare occurance.

I pulled right along side these two guys who looked at me in disbelief!
I got behind this guy, as we made our way through traffic. This car seemed low, and had fat tires on back with a factory wing.

Once the road opened up, we both gunned it!
I love the sensation of acceleration in the M coupe. You feel the whole car hunker down like a Porsche, and the muscular hood lifts under the intense acceleration. What an adrenaline rush.
Now I remember shopping for an Roadster, and having the sales guy tell me that the 3.0L Z cars were "just about as fast" as the M cars.
I was concerned for a moment as I mashed the pedal down in 4th at 4500 rpms.
By the time I shifted to fifth, the 3.0L was 5+ cars behind.
Oh yeah!
We exchanged waves as we split up at an exit.
What I did not realize upon purchase of the car, is that the coupe has a Dinan software download. The little sticker keyed me off, and I confirmed it by checking the rev limiter.

This car is flat out fast. But the supercharger will eventually be a must!!!!

Non yet. But this weekend I will change fluids and plugs, and snap some shots...

I've heard those comparisons before, but i think its more people saying that the 3.0L in the lighter Roadsters and Z coupes are roughly as quick as an M3.

That must've been one great suprise bonus when you found that you had the Dinan software!

Well I had seen the little Dinan warning sticker, but forgot to test it out. So I let the car bounce of the rev limiter once, and in fact it bounced at 7000 or so, which indicated a chip!!!
I have a Dinan Carbon Fiber intake that can fit right in.
I bought it 4 years ago for my 92 325 is!!!!
