| Z8 faulty. can some1 explain the pictures? http://www.bmwz8.us/vbb/showthread.php?p=2122#post2122 i dont understand by their measuring where the fault is wrong. only the coin the lady was holding |

| what a surprise...sounds like the same problems the e36 and e46 suffer from, bmw really needs to fix this

| To explain the pics is rather easy. the point of the coins is to show how warped it is. They are supose to have an equal distance on both sides. the thickness of a quarter. Well that tower was warped from curved to flat causing frame to be slightly twisted noticalbe by the hood in those pics case. And the bolts on the crown are suppose to have a 30* I believe it is angle. And in the case of those pics theye are way off. What a shame. I'm sure the problem will be fixed at some point. But really you have to hit quite a pothole to cause that much damage. Just keep your eyes open and be a good driver and you'll be fine.

| yea that really sucks.. i was up at Russell BMW the other day and they has a sickkkkkkkk Alpina Z8 in black sitting there. so lovely, except the auto. |

| I heard about this not too long ago, seems to be a bad problem. The way the shock towers are constructed, unless a strut bar can fix the bend, there will be no cleap fix.
