| BMW 2000 Z8 Oiling question. I have a 2000 Z8 and the motor makes a bad noise for the first few seconds untill the oil circulates. I have been told this is normal for M5's and Z8's, Ihave been told this is a vanos problem and I have been told that the bearing in the bottom end need to be replaced. My car has 10K on it. Anyone have some info? Thanks SP |

| oh man thats too bad my dad has a Z8 too but we havent had a problme like that yet and hopefully we wont....but as far as waht ur writing about... i have an e36 M3 and i actually had a very similar problem to wat ur having....i just changed the oil and put clean syntethic oil into it which has solved the problem to date.... as far as vanos problems, people told me that as well yet oil change covered it... |
