hard top and engine ticking

I autocrossed my Z this past sunday for the first time. Wow my first rwd car it was fun i got 40th out of 70 which is not to bad. after about the second run my engine started ticking, but i just filled up my oil. one experienced races there who owns an m3 told me it was regular for bmw's, but does any one know what it is? also does anyone have hookups on where i could get a hard top for my Z.

normal during corners, the problem is usually fixed by adding an extra half quart of oil to a quart. The oil sloshes around which causes oil starvation and will make the lifters tick. An oil pan baffle would solve this situation as well.

As for the hard top, Pacific BMW should have good prices.
