what's up people! I just got my z3 2.8 6cyl and i was wondering whether or not i could just engine swap or even just take out the supercharger from the m roadster? would if produce the same power or do i need to add more parts?

M roadster or Mcoupe do not come with superchargers from the factory.

Oh really? alright then...well if i were to swap engines anyway with the an m roadster/ coupe engine would it fit or would i need to do some modifications?sorry im a little new to the scene

If you want more power out of your car, & you are not opposed to FI, then just throw a S/C on your engine, & you'll have a pretty decent running car, for about $5K(not including labor).

Back to the whole topic of rollcages and whatnot, i believe (if i'm still correct, i only worked shipping there for a little bit, but i spent a couple days in the shop) that Turner Motorsport in Amesbury, MA makes a cage for the Z3 / M- Coupe

Whick one did you buy? S52 S54? congrats on your purchase, where did you buy it from? I rarely check this board, you need to post on Bimmerforums.com its a really good active board for our coupes. IM on the north side around Irving PK. and the 90/94 junction.
