X5 recall

about 80,000 x5 will be recalled due to brake line loosening and cuse fluid to leak out. i guess bmw has the little issues just like evry other car maker. when i work for a bmw dealer i was told by a part guy that ery time bmw come out with a new model they will always have sum dumb problem. some serious enough for a recall like this one. dealers will foo t the bill for free. reason is the tires seem to be rubbing the brake line moving and causeing it to get loose.

Yeah, there was a recall on our E38 about a year and a half ago, supposedly some robots that were building the car were rubbing the tirewalls. So we went to the dealership, and it turns out that our car was actually effected. So they put on 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires

yeah ive heard about the X5 recall, i read that so far it hasnt caused any deaths or real serious accidents

I have doen like 20 of these recalls, they are no big deal and i have never seen one that had a brake hose rubbing, but aparently the possibilty of this happing was great enough that BMW dedided to take care of it. And yes, all new cars will have thieir little problems and BMW will take care of it i'm sure.
