X5 3.0 problem Please help

New X5 3.0 with 800 miles. It drives fine but when I go into reverse I can roll back fine but as soon as I gas it a little it revs up to about 2500-3000rpm then jumps back. It has a even worse time going in reverse up hill it just revs up jumps back a little and continues to do that. If anyone has any idea what this problem might be that would be great. The car is going in on Monday to Bmw and they are going to check it out.

I forgot to mention the car has an automatic transmission

Sounds like the tranny. Try to do the same reversing up a steep incline.
