I heard about the exhaust... how do you like it? their stuff is pretty sweet. Hope to see the spoiler soon!! where are you gettin the angel eyes from?

Mobile Inventions in NJ. $1500...that's where everyone's getting their's from on roadfly.com. I saw it at the X5 Meet in NJ...it was sweet.

But the reason why I'm not sure about it is because I leased my car...and when I return it, I'll have to sell the Xenon lights/angel eyes. I think I'm gonna see if someone will trade me their Xenon lights for my Xenon lights + Angel Eyes with a few extra cash. What do you think? Problem though...if BMW changes the shape of the Xenon...I'll be SH^% outta luck.

Hey Sharka,

I sold the mirrors to a good buddy of mine. It was too difficult to see! And guess what, instead of getting the angel eyes, I decided to get all the trims painted. My car isn't going to look nearly as good as yours (Hamann kit), but what they hell. I'm excited. My car is leased anyway.

I'm picking my car up next Friday. I can't wait! I'll def post some pic of my car and better pics of my exhausts. The other pictures are kinda bad. Oh did I mention, I go to school in the Bronx, and there's a sweet car shop around the corner of my apt. So I ordered the Lorinser kit for my Mom's S500 and they installed it about a week ago. And guess what...for free, they're going to install an under carriage blue light kit, strobe lights in the Xenon headlamps. I already got blue nozzle lights that I can turn on and off with a switch. I'm not a huge fan of crazy lights, but hey, it's free and I'm excited! To tell you the truth, it looks really good at night with Topaz Blue. I can't wait till I get the whole light setup going. Hehe. It's gonna turn heads (I can't turn it on while I drive though, that illegal). Take care!

~Mike

Hey Sharka (Eric), do you know of any cheap rims? I don't want to spend anymore money on my X because it's leased but I wanna get rims for the final touch up. I think I'll just end up getting the regular 19in sport package rims (chromed). I'm mad at my dealer because the only reason I didn't get the sport package was because he recommended that I don't get them since I'm up in Vermont all the time! Urrr...!!!!

Can you think of any? I know that rims are really expensive but I want something different. Thanks.

And one more question, I checked out tuningwerks.com and what exactly is it? I assume it's a store? There are some really nice cars on the site. Do you work there???

Hey Mike-

I suggest going with the Hamann HM2 or Breytons if cheaper rims are what you are looking for. Shoot me an email if you need help with it. Those will make you a lot different from the usual car. But if you are looking for just the sport package ones... I have a set sitting around so let me know. tuningwerks is more or less an information site, but we can get you products as well. it'll be more clearly explained when version 2.0 comes out. Once again, just let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

Eric

Hamann X5

Sharka, how much did it run you to get the off road body kit installed and painted etc...Our X5 is 90% complete should be picking it up May 3rd. It ran us just about 3k for the complete install...thats fitment, paint parts and the rest of the car parts i.e. bumpers etc to be the same color as the main body of the car. Just wondering on how bad we got ripped off or a deal...Though i wish we would have got a bmw individual in a 4.4 with estoril blue or a 4.6 Your X looks great by the way can't wait to see what ours looks like finished

I paid $500 less than you did. The work could be better, but they did do it for me in 2 days.

The guy has had the kit for about 2 weeks now...i think he's some kinda perfectionist when it comes to bmw's, he strickly deals with them...he was building some brackets for the side bars so that they would fit how they should...He also had to order new clips off the door trim parts he broke...but man he has taken forever spoiled our plans for rolling from Dayton to Daytona in our new HAMANN X5... our plans then changed to the esclade which is bone stock no fun in that and the just today we got stuck taking the rover down...o well we can't complain its just means of transportation...Im ready to see the X and steal it for a few days and just go driving
