gps update possible

hello,

i dont know if this topic has already been covered but i have an 06 x5 w/ navigation and i was wondering if it is posible to update the dvd disc by using a newer disc from an 08 x5? or for that matter would any dvd discs from other bmw model like the 7 series,5,3,etc be compatible with the 06 x5 gps system since its just a dvd disc?
