Need advise for 95 BMW 318is Hi people, My name is Farhad and I'm very happy there's a well organised Forums for BMW's. I live in Melbourne and been looking at buying a BMW 318is for a while now. Last week I came across one for sale and couple of days ago I organised a RACV full vehicle check on the car. Overall the car engine and mechanics are very good. However. there was found in the Steering & suspension some movement at front lower control arm rear bushes. Also, fluid leaks at power steering reservoir, hose & LHS of steering Rack needs to be fixed. Both front and rear brake pads needs replacing. Front disks also needs replacing. Can somebody please help me in how much these parts will approx cost to replace and fit for me to get the car RWC. Thanks any help will be highly appreciated as i'll be looking into buying this car soon if repairs and RWC don't cost too much. Farhad

| ok, I had my bushes fixed but i cant remember the price it isnt too much. but to replace the brakes will set you back around 600 but if you want to pay a around 100 dollars more you can get a set of Ate slotted brakes. Good Luck with your purchase

Ok thanks TMQ & Pegus for both of your inputs. Yeh i'll be getting an expert BMW mechanic to look at the car and then get my own mechanic to get my RWC organised. This is a car i've always wanted since i'm saving up for a house in the same time so I don't wanna spend too much on the car. Hopefully soon i'll be meeting all the melbourne team

Have it fixed already? How much have you spend for it? So far, I only had BMW Control Arm replacement. I observed a bit of leaks on the power steering reservoir so I’m also curious how much it would take to be repaired. I would also love to see pictures of the car you’re planning to have or have right now. And, after the repair, if only you got the time. I just enjoy those things here. BTW, !!!

hey man welcome.. i reckon personally the 320i are fair more better, and go as much as i need rather than a 1.8 litre 4 cylinder... but thats just me....if you want to travel theres a wicked joint in mornington just for beemers and its right nect to the bm dealership down here tooo.. so you could get alot of stuff just for the 318i u want.. anyway goodluck mate
