Rear Speakers Hi again, I've recently bought a sound system for my 318i. Nothing special but its good enough for me. Anyway, as you would probably know trying to install the rear speakers is tricky. The new speakers are 6 x 9. Has anyone changed their rear speakers before? Did you need to cut out a bigger whole to fit the speaker. Thanks fellas.

in NSW it is illeagle to cut the rear metal on the parcel tray as you are modifying the vechicle. which you need an engineering certificate to do this. Vic may be the same. So try using a set of timber spaces under the speakers, the plastic ones are crap, if you have to modify them. you can get these from places like J.B hi fi. i am using 6 inch round, Sound Stream Tarantula’s with timber spaces under them.

I've never used these so i cannot comment on their quality, but looks simple enough. eBay Motors: BMW E 36 E36 3series 6x9 6 x 9 ADAPTER REAR SPEAKERS (item 320114543093 end time May-24-07 22:55:20 PDT)
