wait a minute....we have to place our order through your web page? what if there aren't enough buyers and the group buy falls through. will i be stuck paying 650 instead of the 569 or 549 or whatever? what if it comes to april 21 and there are only 2 or 3 buyers. i wouldn't want to expect to pay 550 and then have to pay 100 bucks more.....

So, the number of buyers is only a means to determine whether you get money back! If you place an order, you'll get it for that price, and if we get enough buyers, you get money BACK!

I promise, this is a smokin' deal with no downsides! (Well, maybe one -- AA's outta stock for the moment on these, but should be getting some in 1.5-2.5 weeks. I'll keep you informed.)

okay....there is a downside though because i can get a new one, still in the box for 600. if you get 5 buyers then i have a good deal here. but if not, i would get screwed. is there any way we can confirm the number of buyers before putting in the order?

I guess I wasn't totally clear. Whether or not ANYONE else buys at this price, you WILL get the exhaust for the price listed above for 5+ buyers. NO MATTER WHAT. PERIOD. END OF STORY. It's a little misleading because I should have made it say "up to 10 buyers," but in any case, the deal is what it is.

I'm doing this because I've already sold enough to make me happy on BimmerForums.com and now I just want to make the buyers happy!

ah.....that clears things up. so no matter what i will not pay more than 569....plus 30 shipping and handling = 599. if shipping were free i'd go for it but like i said before, i can get one for 600 from a local seller with no shipping.

Well, there IS a unique situation right now. One of my buyers of these exhausts from BimmerForums.com (Ron17 on BF.c and DTM) actually got in a very bad accident before he installed the exhaust. He lives in Atlanta, has the exhaust waiting to be sold, and would probably be willing to let you pick it up so you could save your $30 shipping. Let me know if you're interested in that and I can put you in touch with Ron directly.

By the way, I think I've seen you around Athens (yep, I live here too!). You see an Estoril blue coupe with blacked out grills and an LTW replica wing that honked at you (at least, I THINK it was you)? Yeah, that was me.

ha ha, this is pretty funny. i think we are talking about the same guy! i haven't talked to him directly but a friend of mine who spends most of his time on bimmer forums told me someone had wrecked their M3 and was selling their never-installed AA gen III exhaust for 600. I told him that i wasn't interested but i might be in the near future if it is still available. I think i want to go for it but (this is going to sound pathetic) need to make sure with my parents. they have just seen me spend like 2000 dollars on my car and my dad is hesitant to let me spend 600 bucks on a car that has 90,000 miles on it. my dad is going to be out of town until next friday but if your boy still has the exhaust a week from now, i think you have got a buyer right here. tell him to drop me an email. on another note, i think i HAVE seen your car. i know i saw an estoril M3 a couple months ago. i flashed my lights and gave him a thumbs up. it was on baxter right next to Brumby Hall. i was going down the hill toward campus and the estoril car was heading up the hill away from campus.

And yes, that was me. I flashed and honked too, and was in the exact place you described headed up the hill. I was drooling over your car -- I really like Hellrot M3's. I almost bought a '96 with Modena leather, but I've always loved Estoril, so I had to go with the one I've got now.
