you should check to see what he has zip tied onto the car...since he is so famous for that also.

-Put new clamp on fuel line to fuel rail connection (clamp had fallen off.)
-Checked clearance between FMIC and electric fan (need to see about spacing intercooler further out so it clears better)
-Charged battery and started the car (Car is currently in limp mode)
-Let warm up and checked coolant levels (Topped off coolant, it was a bit low)
-Noticed that only one headlight worked... Angel eyes, foglights, etc. nonfunctional...
-Removed intake and started sorting through the wiring in that area to check headlights.
-Fixed wiring for the angel eyes and headlights (One foglight is now working, other one is missing a section of the plug-and-play harness... RMS????)
-Found a stubby flat-head screwdriver in the belly pan, engraved 'OSH'
-Currently checking where the battery drain is coming from... (Have several possibilities- Stereo system, alarm?, secondary oil pump)
-Also need to check about rubbing in the front when turning, part of the widebody inside the wheel well sticks out a bit... will modify tomorrow.
-Same with the side sills, they extend underneath the car to the factory pinch welds and the extend down, making the car clearance by a good inch. Will put car up on stands tomorrow and look if they can be cut to fit better.

That's it for now, as soon as Dado gets back we're going to go get the codes cleared out of the ECU and do some more diagnostics on the limp mode problem...

Cheers,
Roger
You, Dado, Dustin, anyone taking care of this for me, I owe you HUGE. Get ready for this weekend, it's going to be one to remember, guaranteed! Feel free to update this thread like you did!

Chris's set up is what I used to have on my car.

I am not sure if you guys have the software for SplitSec voltage scaler and FuelCharger (drives 6 additional injectors depending on RPM & Boost on 2 dimentional fuel map). If you guys need them, I still have a copy on my server. They are very easy to use once you get a hang of it.

Also, please check to see how the idle is holding. There may be idle surge when you blip the throttle. This should be taken cared of by software, but for RMS's case, I was able to fix that manually. Not sure if Chris's software is different from mine (I had the very latest up to Nov 2004, I think)...maybe Osh took cared of it. I know he was working on it for a long time.

Good luck with the car!
If tuned properly (both piggy backs tuned), it should be drivable.

#345. Bring those guys down. I have read some of the worst things you could imagine about this company using search engines. I hope this Osh guy breaks a leg off or something. You can't keep treating people like shit and expect Karma to keep its cool. He'll get whats coming to him, and I hope it hurts.

Nice car you've got there Dado...

The whole RMS situation is terrible. It is really too bad they are still operating as a business and taking advantage of other people also.

This project will be amazing when it is complete.

RMS really dropped the ball and has really been jerking alot of people off with their promises. Just considering what Roger and Dado posted about what they are doing to the car and what they have found out so far, there is no way that any of the dates promised to Chris by Osh were ever realistic and were in fact blatantly impossible. This really sux.

Be careful though, OSH might sue you just to get that screwdriver back. He'll need it to screw some more unknowing customers Maybe its the source of his evil powers.....it must be thrown into the fires of Mt. Doom for its evil to be undone.

I just got home. We finally got it to fire but not stay running. Looks like the fuel gauge might be bad. We put some more fuel in the tank. There is definately a fuel related issue. The engine just doesnt seem to getting any. We will be back at Dados tomorrow diagnosing and hopefully fixing everything. I want to see it drive!! Anyway its 230 and I need sleep. We will keep you posted. btw nice orange peel

It would be nice to turn on a TV news program (like NBC's "shame on you") that
feature companies and individuals that have been ripping off their customers. I'm
gonna guess that they won't even need hidden cameras to intercept the bullshit over
there.

#400. Good luck on the work you have ahead of you. I sympathize with your plight, having been left to my own devices after ERT closed up shop on the supercharger business. But it would seem that your car is in very good hands now.

To be honest with you, that car needs alot of work. i have worked at a few shops and have not seen a job thatbad before. the wireharness needs to be redone. i have my friend coming over tonight to look at your car and help us get it fixed. i know we have a fuel problem, and that is a good thing. it better to know what to fix then not know at all. have afew test todo and should have it going. but once you get it, you really need to have someone re do your wire harness. there are alot of wires that are not done right and are rubbing the frame. sorry to bring the bad news, but want to be honest with you.
thanks
damian
