| Korman Autoworks You may recall I had a problem with my m50 manifold on my 97 m3 and it would not start on the first attempt cold. I took my car into Korman in Greensboro. I also told them I had a problem with the car running hot and I had my M3 towed to them. They call a couple days later and say they found the coolant problem it was clogged bleed hose which they replaced. The also mentioned they were going to replace a cracked air boot that also my cause the leak with the manifold. The next day the call and say the cannot find the source of the leak or whatever causes the cold start problem, then he said my total so far is over $1100 and the only thing they have replaced is a bleed hose and an intake boot. I am pretty pissed and I argue for a while with them stating they never called me once to say how much labor I was incurring. This was all to run test to see what was wrong. I could have had a new m50 kit installed for the price of their evaluation of the problem. Today my car is know leaking coolant and I called Korman and complained only to hear, "well we can check to see if those clamps are tighten down all the way. I will never do business with KORMAN ever again and I will make it my mission to disclaim how this place solved nothing for my it only made the situation worse for $1100. Also the only clear answer they had was we see some pressure cracks near the throttle mount on the manifold, wow thanks for figuring that out for $1100, I could have told them that with a phone call. To make matters worse I even wrote them a letter to contact me before making any repairs but they only called saying we only have about $70 in parts so far and a little labor but they never called back until $1100 deep with no answers only assumptions, so I said no more I will pick up the car if the collant problem is fixed, but it is leaking today, damn this shop

| yup, sounds typical of them. They're not the most friendly/professional guys imo. Sorry to hear about your problems. If you need a independent mechanic around the RTP area, let me know. |

| To make matter worse today I found the coolant leak was from the bleed line they replaced. It was installed wrong and the fan was hitting it and it eventually punctured the line. I HATE KORMAN AUTOWORKS NEVER GO TO KORMAN NEVER GO TO KORMAN NEVER GO TO KORMAN NEVER GO TO KORMAN NEVER GO TO KORMAN

| next time....head to sears, buy some tools, and find an e36 manual, and eventually you will see other people's threads like these and say "man, I'm glad I dont have to deal with that anymore..."

| That's a shame to hear...but i've heard nothing but negative things about "Mr. BMW" up to this point. Up north, I managed to speak to a couple club racers that just chuckled when the name was mentioned, along with a buddy here in town that had a price mistrepresentation and ended up not having his e34 M5's fixed.

| Chris Scott and I fixed the coolant problem on Fri with a $1.34 hose. I fixed the problem at .001281% of what Korman charged to repair a hose that they couldn't even install correctly.
