Well before we start rumours, it wasn't finalized (me and Andrew still haven't talked cause of busy schedules) that Im getting my money back but MRyder is right about the purpose of the thread, atleast in regards to it being a general beware. To my young bro little Zube, we'll get that bastard one day. The one thing that im confused is what's the dili here, are you ARAB Andrew, I never knew that. You called me Steven on the phone msg instead of Zubin? Brownies gotta stick together dawg, this hurts.

OK guys , allow me to chime in with my dealings with andrew.

I took a huge leap of faith with andrew, I bought an entire engine and transmission from him at 5000.00 this was NOT a small transaction. In all my dealings I had with andrew I NEVER got attitude, lies, or any type of behavior to indicate a dishonest person. I sent him a cashiers check for 5000.00 and the engine was mine. I thought the transaction went very smooth overall and would transact business with him again with out hesitation. He did take a while to get the engine to me because he was having trouble removing the drive shaft, and since the car had front end damage it was somewhat difficult pulling the engine. He was completely upfront with me on all the delays and would give me weekly updates and profuse apologies, we even had extended chats about future plans for our cars. He even went as far as asking me if I needed any other parts free of charge as compensation for the delay. All I needed was the fuse box cover so he gave it to me.

I seriously don't think Andrew is out to rip people off, he may have gotten in a little over his head with parting all these cars, but hey, mistakes of a young man. Live and learn.

Maybe a little better communication and patience on behalf of both seller and buyer here would have gone a long way, ofcourse only zubin and andrew are intimately familiar with there transaction, maybe they were both patient or impatient, maybe they both thought the were right who knows.

On the grey vador issue, I believe he had TWO sets of vadors one immaculate and one well you saw them. Don't jump to conclusions here and say that he tried to rip you off with those when you really didn't know which/what he was offering. Again as a general rule ask for as much detail on what your buying such as pictures. If he was going to rip you off do you think those pictures would have been posted ? Before I purchased the engine he provided me with all the pics I requested not just detailed pics of the engine but also of the wrecked car so i could see damage that may have affected the engine.

That was my 2 cents, again to reiterate I would NOT hesitate to do business with Andrew again. As for the people lowering them selves to racial slurs and insults, that's just disgusting especially if you have no direct involvement (business) with andrew.

No offense Kaiser but the details of the transaction ARE intimately covered in this thread (specifically page 1). In no way am I in the wrong. Im glad that your transaction worked out with him, there are some people who have had no problems. Mistakes of a young man, fine, but do the right thing though. Bolting isn't the right thing. If you can't handle the biz, get the **** out. Lying about things (like being in the hospital) is equally disgusting.

I'm down with that. I really think there is a need for something like a "the good, the bad, and the ugly" forum like on other sites where buyers can commend good sellers and warn people about scammers.

Later,
Tom

P.S. No matter what happens I will never buy anything from Andrew. If he was to immature to inform Zubin of the damage before sending him the wheel I don't have any respect for him.

Actually I may have misled you but I was refering in a general sense about the details, but anyway the details on page one are intimate after the fact, not before (did you ask for pics, did he mislead you when you inquired about the wheel ,etc. all BEFORE you bought.). anyway I'm not saying you didn't do all that it's just hard to pass judgement (for me) with out the details, like they say "the devil is in the details", regardless yes Do the right thing!

I believe Andrew is trying to make good the best way he can. I bought the 98 Silver M3 in his signature and although there were problems, it was partially my fault for not recognizing them. They were small and I'm happy with the car. At any rate, it's my impression that he's honestly trying to make things right because he values not only this forum, but the people in it. If he's given you the raw deal, seems to me like he's trying to make it right. But you're right 2PAK, only in the end will we know for sure. So keep us posted.

In regard to the verbal assuaults...that is just unecessary. Totally uncalled for.

Yes that's true but since it is a buyer beware thread and everyone is communicating, so am I. My post has nothing to do with an opinion, the transaction was poorly handled...the worst I've experienced to date. I'm simply following up on my part as anyone else on the thread is allowed to....

I could say the same "change my opinion" .... because I don't physically have the switch in hand yet anyway...

i'd treat someone who is buying an engine and transmission from me like a king as opposed to someone who is buying a sunroof switch or steering wheel. esp when he prob bought the wrecked m3 for 2500-4k, he was making a good profit off the engine alone. he's just a lil too opportunistic for my tastes and shorthanded on help.

Andrew has indeed refunded my money in full. My beef with him is now over since he did the right thing. Im glad we can all put an end to this. Anyone who is threatning him and or leaving racial slurs on his machine, that is highly inappropriate esp in light of what America has gone through after 9/11. If you have issues with Andrew on purchases you have with him that are pending, I suggest you take it up with him in a civil manner because he is honestly trying to make good on any ill will against him.

I would also like to take a moment to thank all the fellow DTMPower members for their support esp MRyder and Havenlock. I would also like to thank Dado for creating a forum like this. This situation is a perfect example of how we can come together as a community and is truly what DTMPower is about.
