RMS tuning issues and customer support and Bimmerforums.com

Here is a link that I think all of you should read if you intend on modding your car . Moderators I think this is a general discussion thread as it is pointed to all types of mods and not just forced induction ... Sticky anyone

http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...957#post354957

This company has screwed over a great amount of people in the past years and they need to be stoped !! I am one of there customers from way back that needed help when I was doing my 3.0 swap in my Ti . I saw a article on RMS's 3.0 ti and figured I can get the help and products I needed to finish the job . I called and spoke to Osh explaining that I was having problems with the exhaust and wanted to know how I can make it work . He told me that he had spent a lot of time and money developing a exhaust system as he knew that a lot of people will be doing this swap . He told me that he sells a bolt on easy fit system for $800 but would give me one for $550 since he had made one for a buyer but at last minute backed out . I agreed and asked for 3day shipping and gave him my credit card info . I learned from back then that once Osh sells you something he is impossible to get a hold of after . I called and waited 3 weeks and to my surprise a box that was put together with tape and newspaper arrives at my door . I opened the poor excuse for a box to find a used 325 debaffled muffler with RMS tips . He said it was bolt on but had cut the inlet pipes so close to the muffler that the muffler shop charged me extra as there was nothing to weld to . I was also offended by how he did not even have the decency to sand off the BMW part number so that I might question it being original . I called and told them I could have easily bought a M3 muffler for $200 and it would have been a better system and asked for a refund . I was told that since it was a custom product that They could not help me but would make good on it with the next item I buy . That is a whole other story that they tried to screw me again . I know of them selling rebuilt vortech's as new and other horror stories that you can ask many of the users on BMW forums . I hope everyone else will post there ordeals with RMS so that the new and old generation of BMW enthusiast wont have new stories to tell . RMS

Are you kidding me?!?!?!? The RMS exhaust system is a re-badged system from Europe...It is a FOX exhaust system with RMS laser etched on it.

Any one can order one from Fox or a company can buy quantity, have several different tips to choose from and call it their own.

Unbelieveable!!!

Sean at least they are trying harder then they did in 97 when I got the bootleg used one that I described !! Think of how people that go to RMS and live near by get this treatment . Imagine someone on the East where they cant get confronted easily !! I have a friend named Greg that post's on BF and he paid RMS for a stage 1+ obd 2 flash and they took 9 days to get it to him when it should only be a 2 day transaction . He was told 1 price but charged a different (higher) price . He had also delt with speaking to every other employer of RMS except Osh after the sale was made . He is making ok power and less TQ then a VW 2.0 stage 1 eip bolt on turbo kit but I am waiting to see the air flow chart . Osh is also being shady to one of his biggest HP makers and supporters on the East that is seeing the light more and more everyday !

i bought one of these mufflers as well

it was basically a $200 325i exhaust that was hacked up to be free flowing

after the internal chamber fell apart and the outer part rusted and fell apart, i hounded osh for months

good thing is i got a short shift kit out him for free.
he has screwed countless # of people

my friend in cali had his engine done by him and it he had major problems as well

RichP I have been wondering for the past 5 years how they are still in business . I love how silverstreak post's people's names that RMS did good by but if he only knew what was going on now with those people I think he would keep his mouth shut !! Osh stole Dinan's hardware and if he was smart should have also stolen there software ! It is sad that Osh needs to hire someone (Jeff) for better customer service or should I say a new escape goat to help him talk his company out of trouble or to con people for more money! With RMS you "R ah MesS

Lou- I can see why you would be upset with RMS. I did not know any of your details until now.

Granted, RMS is a different company now. The thread you posted is a testimony to that.

I expect to see many successful projects come from RMS from here on out.
