2nd Annual Nascar-Technical Institute autocross;


here is no public autocross or school on Saturday!
We are hosting a driving event on Saturday for the NASCAR Tech Students. We can use a few extra hands for this. If you would like to help out, please contact me via email: ccr@subaruworld.net


Registration: 7:30-9:00am
Tech: 8:00-9:30am
Drivers Meeting: 10:00
First Car Off: 10:30

Cost:
$30 Non-Members
$25 CCR, SCCA, or NCAC club members
(Membership cards required for discount)
$15 additional late fee from 9:00-9:30

From Charlotte:
Take I77 North to Exit 36 (Hwy 150 - Mooresville)
Turn RIGHT at the top of the ramp & go approx 1/2 Mile
Turn LEFT onto Talbert Road (at traffic signal)
At Stop Sign, stay straight into business park.
Turn LEFT onto Byers Creek Road
Nascar Tech Institute will be on your right all the way
at the end of the street. Course area is behind building.

That is for saturday, theyre hosting 2 events, one on Saturday, for the students at NTI, so that theyre cars won't hold up the whole Main event on Sunday. (they're not holding a driving school the day before, like some places do)

you have to register early i believe, but the event on sunday is open for anyone, as long as you register early; i'll be there, i doubt i'll run the corrado, but i'll be there with some friends debuting their mk2 GTI autox car

so let me just make sure I get this straight....we have to register by 9am on sunday? how long into the afternoon are they gonna let people run? how strict are they on inspections? I have a crack in my front window and my car is really loud (no cat.).

they aren't super picky, theyre were some definate "buckets" out there last year, you shouldnt have a problem with loudness or cracked windows

and i believe you can register online, off of the SCCA website

quick pic from today, just before it started to sleet;
i didn't see ONE bmw out there today, but this was just a practice day for the NTI students. The Z06 Racecar was something to see though.

the course today was an average of 30 seconds for most cars, and 28 for a QUICK lap. (so its a short course)

alright man i'll be there tomarrow. It's my second autocross ever and i'm driving a stock e34 535 '91 ... that means stock suspension... should be fun. And fairly new toyo proxies.
