I have a court date tomorrow

I have to get up and go to court at 8:30 tomorrow for a speeding ticket. I totally forgot about it for a while and now (clearly) there is no time for me to get a lawyer. What happens if i just don't go? Or could i go and, just ask for a continuance?

go go ..... and just either get it reduced of ask for a continuance so that you can hire a lawyer..
how fast is it?
if you dont go you go to jail..

definately go. what speed? u mught be able to show up before and talk to the DA and try to reduce it, or just ask for continuence so u may seek proper legal representation. g'luck...i go on the 8th of march for a 70 in a 45

and i have a HORRIBLE driving record

I went and the ticket was only 75 in a 60. I was going to ask for a contiuance so that I oculd get a lawyer, but I decided to take the driving course so that they will reduce it to a moving violoation (no points.) Thats all I really needed and it should be cheaper than paying a lawyer.
