Beer Tech Groud Rules.....

Well with the Laburnum Beer Techs gaining notoriety we seem to be getting more request of "will you put this on my car" and while I think the founding fathers have agreed that the beer techs are a tradition that will continue we need to establish some ground rules.

1) Beer Tech will involve beer, if the install is complicated the can be deferred to later on in the night.

2) If it is your first Beer tech we won't be working on your car (there may be times this is broken if we can't find anything else to do, but given the number of projects around I don't think this will be a problem).

3) If your car is in beer tech and you don't lend a hand then work will stop on your car and you can tow it home. Even if you don't know how to turn a wrench there is always someway to help.

4) Rules can be changed as we go.....

And if you don't like the rules..... well...

Am I a Founding Father?

Or have I been voted off of the island?

You are still on the island, the current list is RobITR, VelvetM3, 155///MPH and myself....

But we are going to have to renumber the beer techs, we forgot the first one...

1) VR6 Cup kit
2) Jetta Brakes
3) e36 Coil overs
4) M3 suspenison bit in e36 318......

5) Odds are 911 Turbo suspension install...... (and test pipe.....) but that will be determined at a later date

yeah, we're not professionals, nor do we claim to be. by that right, we can do/not do whatever we want. The first beer techs were basically us working on our own cars, I hope people dont think we have grand ambitions for much else...

edit- to clarify, we're not being pretentious, we just want it to be known that we take time out of own schedules to do these things, and shouldnt be expected to do the same for people we dont know just yet...

Its not that we dont want to help anyone. We like doing this stuff. With that said, as Rob and Ian stated earlier we are not professionals. There is always room for error and its not a great idea to go working on other peoples cars that we dont know. Just in case. No hard feelings but if we do help you, you have to understand we are not liable if something breaks or happens to the car/ parts.

If you are very busy at Beer Tech then that is cool, just let us know when you would like for us to stop by and help, I don't think I want to be responsible for other peoples cars without them knowing I am working on it (ie- my first m3 oil change went wrong until I figured out what I did wrong, pathetic)

I plan on doing most of my work on my own, but I need someone to help show me how to do some of my suspension work before I start taking on the tast on my own and drive my car off a cliff.

I know AbeM3. He's a good guy who has a very nice M3, I also know a dude in Charlotte with an M coupe, however all three of us are extremely busy with our jobs, yet we all share the same passion you all do. I saw your work on the last M3 and I feel confident in your work. More confident than most professional garages.
