| Anyone looking for a job in Raleigh/Durham? I have an associate level technical support engineer position that's opened up in my team. My company makes a CAD type software used for digital point processing and model creation. The position would be helping customers figure out how to do things as well as answering their questions. Here's more info: Responsibilities •Employ a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to defuse customer frustration and move toward a solution. •Identify the degree of customer’s technical knowledge and adjust problem solving communications accordingly. Escalate complex problems as necessary. •Deliver quality technical resolutions in a timely manner by interpreting customer problems, researching available resources, and applying solutions in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. •Achieve and maintain to a performance standard, including but not limited to; average handle times, quality of service and customer satisfaction. •Log all incoming correspondence and accurately create case notes in a ticket tracking database. •Participate in training activities to maintain technical currency, and to broaden product knowledge. •Must continuously adapt personal knowledge base to a wide range of ever changing products. •General PC troubleshooting. •Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements •Four year technical degree or equivalent work experience. •0-1 year experience in a Customer Technical Support position •Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems, industrial design, inspection methodologies and surfacing tools is highly desirable. •Ability to multi task effectively and work in a team environment. •Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Unix systems a plus. •Familiarity with basic networking hardware and software components. •Excellent oral communication and people skills are a must. •Ability to work in a fast paced environment. •Possess superior organizational and writing skills. •Demonstrate the ability to reach out to diverse technical audiences.
