I'd drive an hour or two. I agree. Event insurance coverage is required. Is this something the BMWCCA or SCCA might be interested in starting? I really don't know the groups around here yet.

Right now, my chapter is dying away, unfortunately.

I have a great relationship with the PCA here and they are some Auto-Xing fools. I will see if Windy City is interested. Which local CCA did National move you into?

I would not go that far... Windy has a problem that they are too big. They have to cater to the masses, unlike my chapter that is small and will give alot of opprotunities to try and find Niches for everyone.

Badger is too far for me. They have some wonderful people working for them, but that is too far away. Unless we are talking like Blackhawk Farms out near Rockford, then we can talk. I will not be able to convince the Misses that an AX is a good weekend trip 2 hours away.

I will see what I can pull together.

Any luck scheduling a snow rally?

I'll see if I can talk to anybody from the local SCCA crowd in NW Indiana.

I will not be able to get anything done down here. I have talked to the only plce that would qualify for a ice rally and they said that the lake only gets about 9 inches thick with ice during the coldest winters. Most places will not go out until the minimum is 14 inches thick. I will put in a call to Badger Bimmers and see if they are running one, it may be a haul, but it might work out. The SCCA, I believe has certain, higher standards for their Motorsports insurance that the CCA does. That might be a wash too, but try it. They are more experienced at Auto-X setups than I am anyway.

Merry Christmas to you as well. There should be no more animosity between the boards anymore

I left eurotek back in August due to the way the one of the admin and owner acted towards me. I even spoke with a previous moderator, who openly told me they would go in the moderator forum and talk shi*t about members such as myself and dinan 3Xi.

I said it back when I left and i'll say it again, management has really taken a toll on that site. If they didn't let their ego's get ahead of themselves that site would have been good, but unfortunatly its filled with a whole bunch of guys that think they know more than the next guy.

To be honest with you I don't even go in the moderator forum anymore, so no risk of me talkin shit about members! Not that I would anyway, I prefer to mouth off openly!

We are a little different here.

A bit of it comes from the fact that we do not own this site. We just help out and we know that. When you create a spin off website, especially one that is using the exact same terms and people, you are just looking for power. The power to control people's thoughts and what they can and cannot say. I am not saying that is what happened here because I lived in Washington when the big "breakup" of DTM and Chicagoland happened.

So everyone is welcome here with open arms and fresh coffee. I am friends with the Moderators over there, they are friends with me. We have a good relationship actually. But you are right, there are only a handful of people that post over there now.

So... to keep this from turning into a bashfest....

Who has parts they need to install once the spring starts? Anyone have a big garage? Post up what skills you have (mechanical/ electrical experience, etc) and lets see what we can do to help out.
