The meet went good today, small but good times. I spun my cart out going sidways every race! Is ZUMSPEED sane? did something say he thinks losing his license had something to do with eurotek.crap??? Trust me the state of IL does not give a shit about some stupid all euro car message board.

Later.

He is just a little gun shy I think.

Plus, you know when you get suspended, it is everyone else's fault other than your own.

Hey man Zumspeed and I didn't know anyone there today, we kinda felt left out except for the end when everyone gathered outside for a little chit chat. By the way, your white M5 looked and sounded badass, makes me wanna get one now.

Did you guys race or do the lot thing?

Everyone is at the meets because they either own a BMW or they love BMWs. You should not feel out of place, you automatically have something to talk about.

Thanks man! If you guys felt left out at all, you should have come over and talked to us. We had a real good time. I wish I could have stayed a little longer but the guy I was driving's dog was hit by a car, and I had to run him over to the vet.

We should all try for another meet, as my car is going to be stored soon....

hey guys whats up.... i wasnt purposely blaming my suspension on eurotek... its just when that it seems when i hang with the wrong crowd of people bad shit happens. not their fault tho... my own stupidity for slamming on the gas instead of slamming on the brake when i should. hehe. no biggie........

as for yesterday. it was ok at first.... i never been to that place before. i was just exploring it for a bit. i am nt such a great conversation starter especially when i dont kno anyone. so i pretty much told mark that maybe if we wet outside and stood next to our cars then maybe they will come... hehe. like that saying ..." If you build, it they will come".

it was fun towards the end. i still dont kno alot of ur names but at least when comes the next meet i wont feel like a doushebag or anything... i could be like "Hey i remember u...." maybe if the weather is good sometime before it really gets cold out we should have a cook out over at busse woods. on a SUNDAY. with everyone from the DTM crew. well almost everyone cuz i dont think people that are from New York or Germany are going to be able to come...... say maybe we could have it on a sunday... bring ur family and other friends... play football/frisbee/softball/ etc... whatever u think of... and only alcohol to those whom are 21 or older. or just soda's to keep everyone out of trouble/harms way. lemme kno what u think. well im at my brothers college right now partying it up with some hotties. gettin my f*** on. if ya kno what i mean. ISU. Hey denny im not too far from u right now bro.

Hey maybe if u all want to... as my brother says the more the merrier... come out here ti Illinois State University (ISU) in bloomington/normal ,IL. for the Halloween party @ the TKE house at 9 Delaine st. (directions at mapquest) party starts at 10pm until----- well until u leave actually. i will get more info about cover at the door if there is any. but let me kno like i said. ttyl guys. Ciao -Mike-

Sounds like a good time. I'd love to meet some of you guys some time. I've just been pretty busy lately. Maybe sometime this winter we could do a winterfest sort of get together to cut the winter blah's.

Ice Auto-X anyone?

I might be able to get something set up if we can get enough people participating. I would love to find a frozen lake, but i am scared that the ice will break and bye bye car.

That party that Zumspeed is talking about is in my town. Too bad that all of the freaking college kids around here do not know "poop" about their cars and will race you at any street corner.

lol. ice auto-xing sounds like a badass idea. if there would be a place big enough and safe enough so that none of the cars or people get injured. but that would be a really cool event. please post updates.

I'd be there in a heart beat. Keep us up to date. I think we may need to head north a bit for this. Want to ice a parking lot? Snow autox?

I do not really know. I would have to call up some of the Driving Events Coordinators from like Boston/ North-Star/ NY and see how they do it/ when they do it. We might be able to just shack up with some of the locals around here.

I think I would prefer a snow Auto-X myself. That will keep the costs low and allow us to do it in any parking lot that meets the reqs. Hell we could even use a field if we want to go all Arkansas here.

Woops! I meant to hit post reply to ended up hitting edit your post! Sorry if I goofed anything up!

Anyways, let me know what I can do. I'm really interested in this!

I did one down in Columbus, IN last winter and it was by far the most fun I've had at an autox. It was unofficial, so we just had timers ride in each car using stop watches. Then had a chase car to shag any downed cones so nobody would have to stand around out in the cold.

The biggest thing is going to be insurance, hands down. I do not feel comfortable doing an event without event coverage. I think I will try to pull the PCA into the idea and see how it flies there. If they like it (they have more experience doing Auto-X's than I do) then I will let you guys know.

How many more people are interested? How far would you drive for it?
