CT Guys, we need to TALK

I need to meet up with all the CT guys. We are going to have something special start here in Connecticut. I'm starting a new BMW exclusive called Autobhan Concepts. I wanted to bring you something this state has been waiting a long time for. We're not just talking about a bunch of kids getting togather and hanging out at the "Pike" either. Instead, we will arrange serious functions which will remind you why a BMW was chosen for your ultimate driving needs.

lol..we have been doing that about every other month now (Mark, Luke, and myself); last time we had quite a meet/BBQ..just seemed the tranceman was too cool for school

Believe me, Rich...I'd have come if I could, but my car got wrecked. Some crazy son-of-a-female dog ran off the road in a drunken rage and smashed into my parked car. But it should be out and ready for action in about a week. Until that, I've been arranging things out almost every weekend doing stuff. But I say that we should get organized now. Instead of just a couple of guys just hanging out in different places at different times, lets get togather in a club form and make our presence felt. I'm talking about renting out Lime Rock for a weekend. I'm talking about renting out a drag strip and putting the numbers down. I'm talking about dyno days right here in CT....yes, that's right...right in our own backyard. I have close ties with some upcoming performance/audio shops which will rock the CT scene.

PS: Rich! When am I gonna see your G-ride, bro? I talked to your friend one day at a Honda meet. He owns a pretty sweet Prelude. He told me about a Dinan 328 which was for sale. I really wanted to jump on that deal, but my insurance company didn't want to total out my car...infact, it seems that it is nearly not as bad as it seemed. But my car is coming out harder with a couple of new mods.

CT guys keep me posted on any news regarding this subject........I must admit after attending that Milford meet last month.....my car has barely popped her cherry compared to the cars that were in attendance (as far as mods go).....I dont see my stock 325i hitting a drag strip anytime soon! Im still in LOVE with BMW....that should count for something!

Hey, the first thing that I want to make understood is that anything I do is not about how much money a guy has and how many mods he/she has on the car. It's about being with a group of people who share the same passion for BMW's. It will be having the fun we've dreamed of with our cars, but with a purpose. Admit it...how much time do we all spend obsessing over our cars? I'm sure that we all have friends and family members asking us where this is taking us. Well, let's show 'em! Let's get organized and do things that will make a difference. Setting up car shows, doing real things. I have a few connections which will help us to do many things. But YOU may have some connections that can help the team too. That is why we have to create a team toward a goal...to get the most enjoyment out of being a BMW owner and also to make great (maybe lifelong) friends.

About the car being stock and racing, don't sweat it at all. Seriously, how many times do we punch it on the streets and race the guy in the next lane? You don't have to have a heavily modified car in order to get out there and race; either on the drag strip, autocross course or the race track. It's about knowing what you and your car can do. The main difference is that we will be doing all this in a legal and safe manner. To tell you the truth, I made a big mistake in starting autocrossing after I finished my suspension. I really wish that I had started when my car was stock so that I could really appreciate what each component did to improve my car's performance. Baseline figures are one of the most important things when it comes to automotive tuning.

I think you have a great idea here and I'm very glad to see that someone is taking charge. You're that person, congrats. I think you'll do an awesome job.

If we do this shit right we can get magazine, video coverage and sponsorship. And that a major thing that this whole import scene is about.

If we have major stacked up cars then we are a platform for advertisers / sponsors to get involved with.

We should organize some type of weekend brunch or dinner meet, and make sure everyone can make it. How about some time next weekend? Sept 27-29? Preferably after 1:30pm, since I work mornings. A weeknight is definately a possibility too.

Guys, I see a definite interest here in what I'm trying to accomplish. This is something which will benefit everyone involved. Ted has the right idea because he has seen the benefits of what belonging to an organized club can do for a group of guys who love their cars. By the way, Ted has one of the nicest Lexus GS I've ever seen. I heard that your stereo is just pristine now.

We definitely need to set up a meet so that we can discuss this in person. I just want to wait until I get my car back and that will be very soon. The body shop said that it'll be ready this Friday, and that means that it should be ready mid to late next week.

In regards to other cars chilling with us...I always say, "Be an auto-enthusiast first." I appreciate all other fields of auto tuning and not just other car makes. Although, I did want to start a club with BMW's and really exploit the possibilities of our cars.

Of course, I can't do this all alone. It might sound corny, but in fact, there is no "I" in "TEAM." Throw up some ideas. Tell me what YOU want out of this.

I started a Car Club last year but ever one was not serious about it. I have tons of shit left over. WE named it Strict Code car club. I would love to start something that I can remember when iam in my later days. And to have a good group of gies with some ****ing nice bimmers and are like a second family. let me know... see you this weekend.
