Nightmare getting car shipped!!!!!

Has anyone ever gone through Southerland Auto Transport?? They are giving me the run-around on shipping my car........
Paid: 12/4
Supposed to ship: 12/9
Supposed to have my car: 12/16
12/21: Still not even assigned a carrier!!!!! WTF?????
I have been on these bastards every day and they keep telling me they are working on it, call back tomorrow.............yatta yatta yatta, BULLSHIT!

NOW, to make things even worse, they are saying I need to pay them an extra $200-$300 to hurry the shipping process. HELL NO!!!! And if I want to cancel my order they keep $200 for "expenses"........ MY ASS

So pretty much I am either stuck paying those lazy fuks more money to sit on their ass and be late, or wait a long ass time until they decide I have waited long enough to get my car. Who knows when this will be.....

I need some advice, what should I do??

By the way, they are located in Cali.

if you have the shipping dates in writing, then take the lamers to court. or for a less expensive method of making them move faster, have a lawyer call them....

what was already said -- if you have the shipping dates in writing, you have a case to get it shipped for free with a small refund.

if you dont.. you are S-O-L.

that does really bite though. i know i would be pissed out of my mind as well.

id take mule up on his offer. it cant hurt.

i do have the dates written in writing, but it says "expected".......... I dont know, I am going to call them up monday morning and the person who I am buying the car from is going to as well. They have all kinds of little things in their Terms and Conditions that get them out of this shit, so it seems like they must have had this problem before.....or they just do this for everyone who pays the "coach" fares and makes them upgrade to the "first class" rate......... whatever it is, it is BULLSHIT and I am going to call the BBB on their ass and make a big stink.

Make sure you are 100% aware of the condition of the car prior to and after being shipped. Get them to review the car prior and document each and everything that is fine or not fine...

with the crap you are going through I would be extremely careful when checking out the car.

the car was finally assigned a carrier yesterday, but wont ship out until the 31st.

Sounds like other people are having more trouble than I am having......

i had my car shipped from CA and it arrived here about 5 days late, the guy was hella nice and all, the car was in a covered carrier and was in great shape except for a dent in the hood... the guy said it was there but im almost sure it wasnt

just be happy that youre getting it, itll be there in a few days.

Take esp words... Make sure before they load the car that you have a witness that goes over the car for any damage or make sure there's no damage.. Because, just to piss you off they might ding your car for the hell of it.. NO JOKE....and read their contract they are not responisble for any damage during transport... it should be in the 10 paragraph right between "we going to screw you over"

What they are doing is waiting for one or more cars two ship with yours to keep cost down. You need to tell them that you have a show and your car is due in town now or they will be stuck with the reg fees.( I think the show you entered had a 500.00 entry fee!!!) This works I have done it. Also the are shipping out of cali or to cali. If they are shipping out of cali back east let them know they are back-shipping which is a cheaper rate. Hope this helps!
