I have a screen protector on my galaxy...its in good shape

no screen protector on my iphone...and its scratched.

if you daily your car I would suggest some protection for the glass up front. if its your weekend toy you can probably get away without it.

If its got some light pitting you can actually do a decent sand, polish on the glass to restore it. goolge is your friend

IDK how you scratch a screen, the glass they use today is pretty scratch resistant. To the point where I'd say its impossible to scratch the screen. Ever heard of gorilla glass? But then again, you said the iphone glass is scratched, and that glass breaks more than anything I've ever seen.
