Painting & Lowering (Process Pix)

I wanted to paint the grey plastic sidepanels black and also lower the car. Here are some snapshots of the process.

This is with the panels sanded down and unlowered w/ 18"s



Getting lowered and replacing control arms. Still just sanded down.


Lowered 1.3" all around with Eibach Pro Kit. Masking taped around panels for prep to paint.





And then the finished product after many hours of prepping & painting.

well, here's some feedback for you.

nice! the springs really added to your appearance, as well as the painted mouldings. i was kinda skeptic when i saw the first pic where you said that you wanted to paint it into black (i would go with the original paint color) but was surprised with the output.

Although I still feel that it'd look better with body-matched sideskirts, it looks a lot nicer than before. The black is a nice change. Lowering it, though? Nicely done!

Djrigg, my car is already lowered. I just lowered 1.3" all around with the Eibach Pro Kit, shown and explained in the 3rd picture/stage.

i thought it was but wasn't shure, i had nothing to do so used p shop to give the tires a tuck, i was just wondering if you wanted to see how it looks that low, some people ask for that all the time, and your car looked very good when it was done

Paint the bottom pieces... then it will look good....

I am planning to make the panels match the burgandy colour, but I will do that when I have enough cash to pay for a complete paintjob. My car needs it.
