Almost there: Estoril Blue

After the buffing, the multiple coats of Zaino Z5 and finally starting in on the Z2, the car is starting to look acceptable. I figure by June I might be happy with it, if only Zaino could fill in stone chips and huge rock gouges from my dumb ass driving like a carefree idiot throughout the winter.

Click the pics for full res version.

Under full acceleration in first gear circa 4000 RPM:

And of course the gratuitous night shot:

I'm fairly new to DTM. What does "zaino" mean? I've seen it before on another post.

Car looks awesome! Do you have any more shots of those seats?

Wow that looks amazing, dont you have like 150000 miles on it?

I was just getting angry today after looking at all the damage that this past winter caused.

I am really starting to hate winter, it's always so hard on the car.

My M3 has 82,000 miles on it - not quite 150,000 although I do suspect that I will be at that number someday.

Man...you don't need to show off....we know your ride looks good! j/k

I'll be starting my summer Zaino process very soon also, I'm actually going to use a Orbital Buffer with 3M SMR to get rid of the swirl marks I've got over the winter which I can't seem to get rid of with Z5.

Your car looking beautiful as always bro...

lol Thanks Arman, Jon and I always take great pleasure and pride whenever we see pics of your car being all done up right. I also ran a random orbital over my car using Meguiar's Fine Cut Cleaner and a wool pad to strip it of the scratches and heavy swirls from the winter - it worked wonders prepping the paint for the coming coats of Zaino.

It is a copy of the OEM E39 M5 lip spoiler.

The thing about P21S, from all reports, is that it is actually of higher reflectivity than Zaino, but it just doesn't last as long. If you have a supply on P21S on hand, I would wait until it is exhausted before switching - it's a great wax.

Thanks guys!

Looks beautiful as always! Next week finals will be over so I can start my own waxing process.... Do you by chance know if S100 (PS21) will stack with Zaino? I was thinking of going full out just to make up to my baby for not waxing her since december. Next week she'll get the attention she deserves, oh yes....
