Washed, Clayed and Waxed My M3 This Weekend.

So, to celebrate the 4th of july weekend i Washed, clayed and waxed my M3 this weekend. It was the first time I had ever used a clay bar and I must say it really does make a difference!! After that my M3 was so clean I just had to take a few pics. Any suggestions on future mods would be appreciated. I have already definitely decided i need a vented GTR hood, CSL trunk and clear front bumper lights instead of orange ones. Any suggestions on body kits, rear diffuser, best intake and exhaust system, etc.. please let me know. Thanks ENJOY!!

Thanks! I think im gunna try claying my e36 next. Can't wait to see what the car is going to look like after getting 10 years of crap pulled out of the paint. How often do you clay? From what i read it pulls stuff out of the paint that gets fused with it. So, that sounds like something that rarely occurs and only becomes a problem after a significant amount of time. You only need to clay like once a year or what's the deal?

Car looks great. It really is amazing what the clay will do to your paint. I typically clay my cars once a year ant that is probably even more often than I should. As for mods you should get some stealth bulbs for the front turn signals. Painted reflectors for the front bumper. You could also get the smoked depo front turn signals like I have. My vote for intake goes to a streamline filter. The stock intake system is designed to be very efficient and an aftermarket intake system only increases the risk of heat soak. Rear diffuser get a Vorsteiner CSL diffuser. The best exhaust systems is more of a matter of opinion. If you haven't checked it out yet go here klangford - BMW E46 M3 Sound Clips. Don't forget headers free up a lot of power on these cars, most people go either CSL, Supersprint, Ebay. Get some D/A software or sharkedit (if it ever comes out) and your Vert will be incredible and your pocket book will be hurting

looking good. looks great with that color combo with the rims. the only suggestion id make is getting rid of the amber reflectors on the front.

Thanks for all the info alpinewiess. So, you wouldn't get an intake? Just a filter? If i were to get some headers wouldn't that make the car not pass emmisions? Otherwise I am all for headers and exhaust. That site with all the exaust notes is pretty tite. The main thing I want to do is get rid of that tinney sound that the M3 exhaust has. It sounds way too much like an S2000 exhaust to me. I have no idea what D/A software is. Are you talking about chipping it to get some extra HP and Torque? Where do you buy that?

Ya I would stick with just a filter for now. You should still pass emissions with headers as long as you get some sort of aftermarket cats installed. If you want to get rid of the rasp look at either some borla mid pipes or UUC's Rasp-X. Or if you want it to sound real mean get full sprintsprint from the headers back (check on klangford for full supersprint) thats my plan someday. D/A stands for Discover Automotive Welcome to Discovery Automotive High Performance Exotic Tuner for BMW ///M series, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, Ford GT.

car looks great. look into a csl bumper. will give it an agressive look and compliment your blackout package. and the depo smoked corners would be great too. nice car though! good luck!

Hmm, I actually don't like the CSL front bumper. To me it looks really basic and the hole on one side makes it not symmetrical and there for wierd looking to me. i like the look of having fog lights and everything. The CSL trunk on the other hand i really want. I'll be checking out smoked corners and clear bumper corner lights ASAP. As soon as I sell my original wheels ill be buying a carbon fiber vented GTR hood. That should make it pretty aggressive looking. Also thinking about getting the rim lips painted red instead of chrome.

first person i have heard of that doesnt like the csl bumper but thats why its your car and you should always personalize it to your liking they do make a csl bumper with fog lights and or two holes also if your still interested. another option is buying the carbon lips for the stock bumper or a solid one piece lip. that would help it look more agressive with the hood. and red wheels would definatly be completely different. Imola red is one of my fav colors though. its easy to make it look good. good luck though!

Yeah, I know. I see those bumpers on every M3 so I figure I'm the only one that doesn't care for it. If there's one with fog lights ill have to look into that though. I just didn't like how it looks really basic with nothing on it except for that hole. I definitely want to get a lip regardless of which bumper I have. I actually looked for a laguna seca blue M3 for about 2 months, but got tired of waiting and went for the red which is a hell of a lot easier to find. Laguna seca blue and imola red are the best colors for the e46 M3 I think. Your postings say you got an e46 M3. Where da pics man? I wanna see what you've done!!

Yeah the csl bumper is cool in my opin. the single hole is for the csl intake tube that is actually functional and as far as my car... its an 05 Carbon black/ Cinnnamon. Smg. as far as mods. depo corners. umnitza 6000k xenon bulbs. halos. T1Rs. int xenons. and i have a vorsteiner single sided carbon fiber vrs vented race hood and a dvwp csl vorsteiner bumper with the dual splitters being shipped as we speak and then next month agency power exhaust and new wheels.
