New ride: '99 E36 323ti compact

Went to pick up this car yesterday! It's a '99 E36 323ti compact in cosmo black metallic. It has done 91000 km (57k miles) and the guy I bought it from is a BMW garage employee. It's in perfect condition, can't believe how it looks for a car of that age. It's completely original (even the radio!), except for the Bilstein dampers and Intrax springs (lowerd bij 10mm or so).

Long time I have been wanting a 6cil BMW, the whole driving experience is just so different from a 4cil. It's quite an explosive package with a car of that size.

Things I'm planning to change in the near future:
- Intake
- Exhaust
- White indicators
- Black or carbon kidneys
- Carbon BMW logo's
- M-tech front/rear bumpers
- M-tech sidemirrors
- Rims

I don't want to mess up too much of the original car, so most parts are easily backward replacable.

Question :: What kind of wheels do you guys think would do best under this car? I'm thinking of E46 M3 CSL wheels (if I can find 'em) or maybe those BBS motorsport wheels (E90 320si). Maybe matt or blackchrome? Or should I take the M6 replica's from my old car?

Some pics:

My old car ('91 E36 318i sedan) when it was still stock:

I have always found that for a black car, wheels that have a completely contrasting color look really good. IE White, Chrome, or a Light colored aluminum. Unless of course you are going for the completely blacked out look with your car. On my black e36 I went for contrast between black and very bright colors such as chrome, clear lights and bright rims. I think it turned out nice.

Thanks. I'd like to stick with the black theme (ie. black/carbon kidneys, carbon logo's, maybe even smoked taillights and indicators). But like you said, for the wheels some contrast may look better...

More suggestions anyone?

Last friday I replaced the original wheels with the M6 replica's from my old car, just to see how it would work out. Here are some pics:

Opinions? It's probably a temporary measure though...but it'll do just fine for now.

Washed it just yesterday....but then it rained and I had to go to the store to get some stuff. Result: a whole afternoon of work for nothing.

Drop it? It's already a bit lower than the m-tech kit and the wheels barely fit. Besides, it has to stay usable for daily driving. And last but not least, I don't like cars with the wheels sunk under the fenders...you know, that urban look.
