Just picked up an e34 Touring

I had pulled the interior all the way down, along with the majority of the rest of the car in the past couple weeks, I forgot to post pics, but here is where I am at now.


Put the black dash in, started working on the mess.


Engine stuff has been torn down for a variety of reasons (plugs, gaskets, intake, starter, etc)


Pulled that bitch out. I hate Automatics.

In other news, UPS lost my ZF 310 M3 trans and clutch, and flywheel and pressure plate somewhere in Buffalo.... Hopefully they are here soon. Hopefully the car will be back on the road this coming Sunday/Monday if all goes well.

I have the same car in silver and want to convert it to manual but my dad is like, "If you convert it to manual, it means you plan on speeding" I said "I plan on speeding either way, at least let it be how I want to speed"

Yep all my own work, I've worked for a few shops and know my way around nearly all kinds of autos.

Just tell him that after spending all the money on the swap you won't be able to afford to keep filling the tank driving fast

No, I've got an S38 B36 on one of my engine stands I'm going to swap in once it's rebuilt.

Naw, my dad has a bodyshop and one of his workers does engine/tranny swaps all the time, doesn't take him that long either. Maybe 4 hours without a break and the new engine and tranny is in.

Plus I have the Manual Tranny and Clutch. He just doesn't want to install it.

Jeez, everytime I refresh the page you have a different picture in your sig.

Any other engine mods? An LSD maybe? The car as automatic is slow on take-off but breaks out after first gear.

Chipped, M3 ZF310, 3.64LSD for now, till the S38B36 (e34 M5) engine goes in.

You going to install the engine yourself? Thats alot of motor, but the e34 has a load of space under the hood for a V10 even with a turbocharger on it if your really naughty.

Engine installs arent hard, neither are builds, or completely stripping a car and rewiring it. Just time consuming. Of course I'm going to install it myself.
