| Pics and Review of My VF Engineering Supercharged E46 SMG M3 NO 56K I have had my VF Supercharged E46 SMG M3 back in my hands for about a week. In that time I feel I have been able to get a good enough feel of the car to write my review. I am no stranger to forced induction. I have a single turbo Veilside Mazda RX7, a Paxton Novi 2000 Water to Air Supercharged NSX, and previously owned a Supercharged Porsche 996. I choose VF Engineering over the other brands, because I am a fan of the Vortech superchargers, and I prefer water/air cooling over air/air cooling any day of the week. With my Porsche even after a few hard runs at the track, you could touch the heat exchanger and it would still be cool enough to the touch. I am also personally a fan of the GIAC engine software as well. I have been running their software since back in the days, when I had a B5 Twin Turbo Audi S4. I was throughly impressed when I picked up the car from VF Engineering. The drivability and the smoothness of the powerband all the way to redline is impressive. It honestly feels smoother than stock. My car idles smoother than stock, and there is an abundance of power in ever gear. When I have the traction control on, the light comes on after ever gear shift up to 4th. I have owned fast cars in the past, but this M3 felt so fast during my initial drive, that there was a point where the car was pulling so hard, I had to take my foot off the accelerator. I will keep everyone updated as I put more miles on my supercharged system, but right now everytime I drive my car I have a huge smile on my face. I defintely would recommend the VF Engineering Supercharger to all E46 M3 owners. The Stage 1 Kit on my car put out 410 RWHP or about 492 HP. My car is basically stock engine wise except for the Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust. I am debating on adding the Evosport headers, and the VF Engineering Stage 2 package when I get accustomed to the new power. I am debating if I should do a rear metal widebody to stuff a larger tire in the rear to get more traction. | Welcome back Vince! Been a long time since we were negotiating the price on my used DTM Kreuz's. Great looking E46 - nice work.
