1997 M3/4 Turbo

Car was completed (mostly) in late 2005, I then spent a year in Iraq. Other than the 1 year off, it's my daily driver. It made 616/544 on a slipping clutch and 1.7 bar. It's tuned up to 1.9, but the clutch wouldn't hold on the dyno. I now have a new clutch, but haven't been back to the dyno yet. I drive it around on 1.0 to 1.2 bar, somewhere in the area of 500-550 RWHP.

I'll start with the mods and will add to it when I think of something else or add something else.

Awesome car and amazing motor. Love the black on black of the car also. Have any action shots or videos???

my only "complain" is the wheels, i think they have to go and match up to what the car is talking up. Some Fikses, BBS', or forgelines should do pretty good.

Yeah, bottom of that first post is video's. As for the wheels, I wanted to spend the money on performance, not on show.

Looking good; I would definitely be curious to see what you throw down on a dyno with the FX700 in place. Out of curiosity, whatever happened to your black Koseis with 275 DRs on 'em? Or are you waiting to throw them on for a pass at the strip?

Wheels are not only for show, strong light wheels can be felt when compared to driving a car with heavy wheels, albeit you have 500 horse, but still it helps with bringing all that car to stop by being lighter less rotating mass. Sure its nice to have all that go, but dont forget you gotta stop too!

Otherwise thats a nice car, looks just like my old car, except mine was short about 300 horse!!

I still have 'em, they're in my garage. And yes, I only use them for passes at the strip, and I have yet to go since I switched to this clutch.

I know that wheel's aren't only for show, but going with the wheels that he suggested would only be an improvement in show, not performance.

Honestly... I like the AR1's... Black w/polished lip looks good on your beast, and they are a nice budget option... I'm glad you put the money into the go first.

The rear HID's you mean? I removed the factory reverse lights and replaced them with 6K HID's. It wasn't too tough to do, just a bit of dremeling. I wired them into the factory reverse wiring and wired a separate push button that is mounted on my center console. So now, although they turn on when I go into reverse, I can also turn them on whenever I want.

Unless they happen to be some un-friendly authority figures...in which case, 6000K HIDs will help distract them!
