Just two things... Lose the brows, and the seatbelt color... Just my opionion but eyebrows are not all that good looking, its much cleaner with the bottom cover. I am not even sure what its called but I have seen a few, very few E36's with the E46 style headlight cover at the bottom of the light... wow that looks so much better than eyebrows. The seatbelts, I would have liked it more if they were blue to go with the outside paint job. I know you said you were not going to change this but, lots of comments about it. If you bring the exterior color to the interior it looks much better than going with an off color. Once I get my car touched up I will have to leave a nice post too... oh and I need about 50 more parts at least . Can I get sponsered too??

Ahhh I dont know what all the mods have costd. I have a folder full of receipts, I dont have everything accounted that the origianl owner put into it. Rest assured alot of money has been invested in this car, forget the aftermarket stuff, there is thausands in reliable upgrades like metal water pump, new gaskets, door seals, little problems that occur over the course of ownership of any E36. Dont forget this car is over 10 years old! On aftermarket stuff I saved alot of money on in house labor done by UUC. All the parts cost as much as youd expect. Most UUC goodies where free though , such as the 8lb flywheel and m5 clutch spare I have, and the chromoly adj. control arms coming in with the custom piped floor mats. I like your hood I am still in a debate as to what Im gona paint on the hood.

I have had to do maintenance too like the water pump, so I completely understand that. Actually that’s why I ended up with a fan delete kit, and while I was at it I put in the UUC underdrive at the same time.

Best mod I think is obviously the cams... these cars really arent nearly fast enough for me, but this motor pulls alot longer and harder from like 4k on to redline where any stock motor would fall off. BUT the real winning combo is with the LTW flywheel, clutch and exhaust (the car just jumps with a prod of the pedal). Which you already have, so awesome. There isnt a whole lot of bottom end power bellow 3k so obviously I want a supercharger now! Youl love the cams, btw they sound friggin tough as nails at idle, has a slight rumble like a V8.

I would agree the car is not quite fast enough for me either. It is so much more responsive though with the clutch setup. I also didn't even notice the difference with the underdrive kit. They state 10 hp but I didn't notice anything at all. I did this mostly because I was in that area and needed belts / other parts replaced and thought what the heck. I am sure it helped the power curve somewhere but without a dyno before and after I sure can't tell. So have you heard much about the Sunbelt E36 M3 OBDII Sport Cam Kit? I am just concerned that cams might not be worth the $3200 price tag before the labor cost. I was also thinking of getting the cat delete from turner motor sports as we don't have emissions testing here.

| thats bad ass that you dont have to worrie about emmissions.. Be careful ive seen alot of guys get more hp with more back pressure from the OEM exhaust components. But those where forced induction cars sooo... Ive never heard of the Sunbelt cam kit. Does it come with injectors, intake, hfm, software etc etc? If so that price isnt bad for a OBDII.... NaMotorwerks.com and turnermotorsports both have OBD2 applications. check them out and see if you can find others with those kits. Ive heard great things about both, especialy Na's on there companies 97 cosmos

[url]http://www.bimmerworld.com[url] Then click on new products. This is the sunbelt cams, and they dyno'd at 312 with stock cats. Wish I had the cash for them, I think its reasonable really. That price includes the cams, software, intake, injectors, hfm (bosch), a m50 adaptor kit, and the fan / asc delete. Still its a lot of cash to pay. I agree that some back presure is good, but in a N/A car and according to UUC's tech articles its okay on a E36 to open it up. The bad thing is that someday I want to move back to utah and they have strict rules on that stuff, so I will have to hang on to the cats just in case ;-). Which reminds me does your air bag light come on since you had the seats replaced? Mine does, and I wired a lot of the stock stuff back into my yellow seats.

| Wow, you get the M50 intake too? Well you can save money by buying one used or refurbished off eBay or something. Most kits offer an option where you can source your own, buy a re-furbished one, or a new one with the kit. For everything your getting the price is right. You can save alot on labor. Have someone do the cams and vanos adjusting and save the intake and injectors and what not for your garage. Just get a friend with a flat bed to trailer the car for you.
