My *eek* Nissan

Man, i feel so out of place over here oh well! Installed Eibach lowering springs the other week. The car looks lower sometimes and sometimes it doesnt look that low...today was one of the days it doesnt. Overall, the eibachs are pretty nice. Not as low as i would have liked (maybe ill sell them and get some sprint springs or something), but they brought the front down a good deal (had massive gap up front) and they feel nice as hell in the twisties. Due to the crappy weather (Was snowing, now just raining/kinda cold and dark) i didnt take really good pictures. Just wanted to get it done an get home, but here they are.

gay seat covers, i know...but trust me, theyre better than the seats. Only reason i have them on is cuz they were in my old Z when i bought it, and i figured might as well keep my old Z's spirit alive and cover the really fucked up seats at the same time. Sparcos are coming soon then i get to burn the covers

edit: and when i say "looks higer" i mean wheel gap wise. I know it will be lower with the stockers on, but i mean less wheel gap. Oh well, if it doesnt settle any lower guess ill just have to wait for my coil overs

Lookin good. Needs coils IMO to achieve a perfect stance. What kind of engine mods do you have and how much power are you making?

I don't like the insert on the nose, nor the fat exhausts.

eibach springs with camber kit is fine for lowering it. It only drops about .8" off the stock height, and the stock TT shocks are strong enough to handle the "extra" stress from less travel etc. But i will be getting D2 coilovers soon enough.

~420hp (est).

What kind of engine mods do you have..
HKS Hiper cat back exhaust, test pipes, downpipes, intake, chip, MBC, FMIC, lw flywheel, RPS 6 puck spring hib clutch. Stock turbos for now. Waiting for bigger turbos and injectors. PE1420 (550+ rwhp) and 555 injectors. Will be looking for 550-600rwhp when this engine is done, and over 700 on my old engine

the nose panel acctually helps a lot with getting air to the radiator considering the FMIC. Most people are split on the exhaust as well, but think of it this way...most of the other brands for the Z are about twice as much with half the flow. The HKS Hiper has the least amount of bends...and i mean least. The H pipe has 1 slight bend maybe not even 15º and the muffler sections have a single bend of an even less degree, and it sounds nice as hell.

still twin turbos. On a V6 its not as efficient or easy to go to a single set up like it is with a supra or skyline (I-6 engine). 2 of everything makes it a bitch to get it all to run together into 1 with equal length exhaust manifolds and a custom single throttle body intake manifold or a pretty restrictive Y to the stock manifold (2 TB's). Its been done, but its not that efficient to run a single turbo.

Yea, i dont want it completely slammed, it doesnt look bad as it is (way better than stock height), just want a little less gap in the wheel well, not a lot just a little

I gotta clean up tha engine bay a little bit but ill get pics for ya. Its nothing special right now. Im working on hand polishing the plenum off my other engine (a bitch to do), and once its done its going on this engine...but god knows when ill get motivated enough to finish it. Sand paper pwnz me.

good god those are big mufflers.

this isnt directed to you, because i know that the 300zx TT's are decently quick, but I've always wondered if the whole asian fascination with HUGE mufflers/wings/wheels is a compensations for something else that is really small...

I totally agree with this, the exhaust isnt my taste. Other then that I have nothing against it. My friend has this exact car and its stock, I really enjoy the looks of it.

lol its possible for some. Thank god im italian lol. Personally i think they dont look bad, and they do flow a lot better than every other brand out there. Every other brand has atleast one 90º bend right before the mufflers, these are practically straight through.

My brother is running a set of D2 coilovers on his V-tec...i have no words to describe them!!! Actually, i wonder how come they were never mentioned on DTM before! The quality is SUPERB, the handling is mind-boggling, and the adjustability of the system is just a true luxury...I street-raced him the other night and got SLAYED...True that, it doesn't matter how much your engine is making, it's all in the handling!!.....Round-abouts, long curves, tricky curves, u-turns, just name it and it RULES in whatever category you want.... And it's only a CIVIC The price? For my vert it's around $400 LESS than H&R for example, I don't believe H&R handles any better....

yep, D2's are really nice. One of my good friends has them on his TRD Widebody MR2 and those coil overs can definately put it down. 36 way adjustability i think, seperate spring perch and height collar (so you dont mess up your compression and spring travel when you lower it), really great quality build (not to mention they just look sweet as hell, kind of like HKS Hipermax coilover replicas...black and purple). For the price, definately cant beat em. I was going to go with tein flex w/edfc, but ive heard some stories about the flex's not locking in place and the EDFC sometimes readjusting itself randomly. Would be nice to have cockpit adjustability (like stock shocks, we have 2 settings), but after comparing the D2's to almost anything Tein, the D2's definately look like a hell of a lot better choice.
