I shall I shall. the car sounds beautifull at around 4,000-6,000 RPM's...o man its nice

I love it. im only 16 and its my first car. im going to pay about $150 a month for insurance (california+BMW+teenager=$$$) and im getting bout $500 a month from my job so the rest is going towards an oil change. Tuneup, and a change in diff oil. so yea....is there anything i should know about 84s that is nitorious for going out?

i just fixed the right turn signal and front fog light cuz of bad fuses. but like is there anything bad about the 84s in general?

Looks good. Might want to clean under the hood with a damp towel or something. Other then that, looks very clean.

Yeah..insurance companies don't see to car that your Bimmer may be like over 10 years old. ripoffs

16 here too, I have an 87 325, same color, i like it. Why doesnt your car have the popout windows in the rear? All e30s pre 88 had them. idk

i actually bought it for $1100 and the popout windows have a covor over them that came with body kitt/eyebrows and such. so yea

btw, just a technicality, but the term beamer is typically used to refer to BMW motorcycles. BMW Autos go by bimmer.

nice looking 318i, my 16th bday bimmer was a '74 bavaria with over 400k on the engine. enjoy it!

As far as stuff going wrong, check you oil filter housing, those sometimes leak, your ball joints, subframe bushings, swaybar links, steering rack leak, strut mounts, drive shaft bearing and guibo, plug wires, trunk leaking from antenna grommet or tailight seals, and of course don't forget diff fluid and tranny fluid and leaks for both.

thanks alot man. my car is leaking a little bit of oil though, im not sure if its from the oil bolt not being fastened all the way or from a leaky seal who knows. im gonna go get it an oil change this weekend along with a Diagnostic test and new rear Kumho Ecsta rear tires/allignment/ im putting on new front brake pads and sensor

Oh and im getting new K&N air filter for it....$70 =D..w/e helps my baby breath better. and 2 front seat covers and an AutoMeter Shift Gauge with Shift light. its gonna be sweet

Jus becareful about thoes K&N air filters I've heard alot about them. That they actually are worse for your MPI and lower your horse power, you will have to fabricate a heat shield for it, so it doesnt suck in hot air from the engine.
