update: 92 318is

well me and my dad finally got around to doing some of the body work and shit on my car, we dont have much time to work on it tho so it probly wont be done for about two weeks seeing how we only get to mess with it on the weekends unless he ends up workin then we only get sundays. well last time i posted pics i just had my bodykit on unpainted and the person who put it on couldnt get the back bumper right and put my side skirts on backwards(i still need to flip them around and mold them in). got my back bumper molded in and fixed all the flaws in the fiber glass in the front and rear bumpers(kit need TONS of work to get it to look decent, luckily i only paid 500 shipped for it). we ended up putting basecoat on the front and rear bumpers so it wouldnt have all the red oxide primer showing, didnt clear coat them tho because still got tons more body work to do but we just wanted it to look decent for now since im gonna be riding around in it. well click on my gallery to see pics of the progress that we did yesterday, will get pics of the front bumper later today it was too dark by the time we actually got it on. we did all this work outfront of my grandmas house cuz it was nice out. were gonna mold in the side skirts this weekend and start fixing all the tiny dents. and yes i know no one likes my headlights/tail lights/rims. my oem tails were broke and these ones were cheap, i plan on gettin new ones soon. well let me know what you guys think so far.

Yeah, nobody likes them...nobody, check his gallery pics and see for urself. You can do a search for him and notice all the bashing he got from pretty much everyone on the board, and for pretty much everything he has installed on his car.

yeah my car doesnt fit the 'mold' that everyone else has, oh well. i happen to like chrome rims and for the price i paid i couldnt pass it up. im a 20 year old makin $8 an hour so i cant afford britton's and hre's. hoping to have the car completly painted the weekend after next.

You deserve big respect for doin' all that yourself. I hear alot on here about kids whose fathers buy them brand new bimmers, It's nice to see a dad who likes his kid well enough to help build one. When that thing is done, you'll both have something to be proud of. Nice job.

It's really nice to see you working on the car yourself. However most of your mods remind me of a Honda civic. The potato shooter exhaust, the Chrome rims, and the Altezza Taillights. But to each his own and as long as you like it. Seems like your doing a great job with the body work so keep it up.

yeah i can understand that, i like my headlights with the angel eyes. i bought the exhaust when i first bought the car, the stock exhaust was rusted out on the bottom. im planning on doing a remus catback system in the near future. tail lights are gonna go eventually when i get the money to buy a better pair but those aint really a priority to me. most of my mods were done before i really got into the whole bmw scene and before i joined this board. i was really into the tuner shit and actually almost bought a civic before i seen this bmw. i actually bought my bimmer from a honda dealer lol. and now that im getting into the whole bmw scene and learning more about the car im trying to lean away from the whole ricer thing. just takes time when im on a budget.

im gonna paint the side moldings to match the body color. do you guys think i should also paint the door handles or would it look better with them black? i also need to replace the rear window molding because its all dry and coming out and looks like shit, but im putting that on hold because they want 200 to do it and it doesnt leak so thats low priority right now. thanks for the comments.

Hey, ppl got different tastes and styles... if you think you found your style, go with it. No one said you had to be like everyone else! By the way... I give you props working on your own car! Nice to see a fellow tuner taking things into their own hands!

PS - Paint the handles... color match everything!
