My son's 1.9L G60 Cabby....

This is his project car....nearly finished...but then again they are never finished. Only thing that is left is a paint job and some BBSs. It has coilovers, full brake upgrade, custom interior with Corrado seats, etc, etc.

Engine specs:
-1.9L BBM shortblock
-Ported/polished head, 3 angle valve job, HD springs/retainers
-268/260 cam, adj cam sprocket set at 6' advanced
-30# injectors, 3.5 bar FPR
-Ported TB with wedge removed
-Windage tray
-A1 dual outlet manifold, custom 2-1 downpipe, catless 2.25" piping
-PWR 4" x 6" air-water intercooler, Teel 12v pump, 4 gallon tank in trunk, passat heater core for heat exchanger
-Stock G-Lader/pulley, RSR outlet, 2.5" custom piping
-AC delete, serp water pump pulley
-Stock AUG tranny, 16v pressure plate, 8v disk, stock A1 flywheel (revs soooo quick)

The 1.9L is very strong. The torque off idle is amazing....the tires spin off the line almost everytime...taking it easy. But the mid-range and top-end is really where its at.

15" x 8.5" if I can remember correctly. The spokes will be painted a dark gunmetal, and the exterior bolts will be painted the same. The tires shouldn't have excessive stretch for them to fit under the fenders, but they sure won't be square.

When the wheels get installed, the car will be probably another 1/2" lower with the new coilovers, and ground clearance will be a big problem. Right now you can fit a pack of cards under the oil pan.....

It doesn't seem to be that low now... However, those wheels will rub for sure. I'm running 15" X 7" wheels with the FK 60/40 kit and I had to cut the fenders (and it's still rubbing sometimes in the front)...

Just a little more then a pack of cards...



Now the lowest point on the car are the water lines for the in trunk water tank that run up the side of the car and near the control arm....which that same pack needs to be forced under.

No need for a skid plate...just have a spare oil pan in the trunk!

Right now at 6 psi at the boost guage, ballpark guess is 150 whp. Should be doing 200 whp with 15 psi.

If he still has the car in the next couple of years, he is going to save up for a Lysohlm and be in the 250 whp range.
