Totally illegal here sadly, Id get about 50ft before being pulled over and fined. Its kinda different to the US in that there is no legitimate reason for a car not to have a plate - the annual renewal thing on UK cars isnt plate based as in the States, its done through a disc in the windscreen, so the plate never comes off the car.
However I have a personalised plate (vanity plate) going on next week, so will bin these ugly ass plates with the dealer thing on the bottom! Here is my old car with the plate (we arent allowed words and have to stick to a format, long story...our vanity plates are also expensive, $500 to about $1,000,000 depending on what number you want)
