Two words:
Stupid Fun
Jeff let me take his modified SRT-4 out last night, and I cannot get over how much fun I had driving it. The various noises the car makes are straight out of a video game, and the power is simply addicting. I love how much torque is available to rip the car out of the hole as long as one isn't foolish enough to immediately drop the hammer
all the way down.
I was surprised at how well the car handled a few aggressive offramps. I have never been a fan of FWD cars, but given that it is the only real "drawback" of the SRT-4, I can easily forgive this caveat - It's not like the car handled
poorly whatsoever, and I actually found myself getting comfortable with the ST-4s tendency to roll a bit during hard cornering due to there never being a lack of grip.
And did I mention the sounds this thing makes? They're something else. The HKS blowoff is enough to frighten unsuspecting motorists.

The exhaust snaps, crackles and pops SO loudly at times that it draws the attention of everyone around you, with one little girl actually grabbing her father and saying "Daddy! That car sounds like FIREWORKS" as I was coming to a stop in front of her.

One car, packed with teenagers, sidled up next to me and started pointing at the huge FMIC. Then they started hooting and hollering for me to get on it. I gave them a taste, and cracked the blowoff valve right next to their open window - which provoked a round of applause and renewed screams for more, but there were cops up ahead directing traffic, so that was the end of that. One thing is for sure - the car gets a LOT of attention, be it from those who either love the car, hate the car, or want to race it.
Jeff's SRT-4 is the kind of car that I could get myself into a lot of trouble if I owned it.
Oh and any dipshit who decides to come into my thread with anti-Dodge, "It's still just a Neon," or any comments of the sort, will get a week long ban. It never serves any purpose but to start a shitstorm, and this time I am not having it - Keep that crap to yourself and out of this thread.
