hey guys,
well, despite the clouds our car today was a black z4 3.0i. i've had a personal history with this car. washed every weekend during the summer and every month during the winter (only went through a brush car wash once). that one time through the brush wash was enough to really destroy the paint. the picture i'm going to post of the before shot doesn't really capture, 100%, how bad this paint was swirled up.
the products i used are listed below. this was my first time using a porter cable and the poorboys products. i must say, i'm very impressed. i had the dual cyclo head buffer and have used meg.'s products in the past. i think a combination of the two would be monumental, but i'll leave the testing for my avus m3.
the procedure was as follows:
-began with a normal wash, bug and tar and a rinse.
-used the griott's clay bar with speed shine (not pictured)
-once dried i started with the pc-orange pad and poorboys ssr2.
-after taking that off, i went over again with the pc-white pad and the klasse a.i.o (all-in-one).
-the finishing touch was the carnuba paste wax s100.
the end result was breath taking and if i do say so, looked better than when it was first picked up.
without further delay, here are the pictures.
enjoy!
