New kid on the block

Well, i guess im the new kid in town. I just picked up my first bmw, a '88 325is, and oh man, i love it, hahah. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. It is deffinatly a lot beter than my old car, a rabbit gti, hahaha. Well. heres some pics i took right after i got it

Oh, and heres whats done to it:
dinan chip
bilstien HD shocks
ansa muffler
shortened up those diving boards that some people call bumpers
thats it besides the fact that it was never abused and is basically as claen as you can get with 157k miles.

Im thinking i want to throw on some e30 m3 springs to lower it just a tad and stiffen it up a little too, without being too extreme, would there be a problem using the e30 m3 springs with bilstien HD shocks?

Thanks for looking

Wow... how much did you pick that up for? A very clean E30 if I may add. Wish I can help you on u'r question, but I don't know much about E30's. Perhaps someone else on here can answer that for ya.

and congrats on your purchase!

congrats for starters...

Yup problems may arise with the HD and sport spring combo. Bilstein srongly advises not to pair the two. You would have to drop Sport shocks in there before lowering. That's just the recommended way , if you dont want prematurely block shocks, and potentially unsafe situation e.g if your driving hard.

Hoped to be of help

Thats what I was thinking, but the guy i bought it from also had a e30 m3 , and he was saying that he went to the dealership to see if he sould get the HD's or the sports, and the dealer said that it didnt really matter too much, since the m3 springs arent really too low, so he could go with either one.

I bought it for $3500
